Such Good Music

This last weekend was super jam packed with all sorts of fun activities, so at this point I'm only going to review Friday.

I left work a little early so my friend Jen and I could make it all the way down to Richmond, VA for a concert. Traffic was terrible, so it took much longer than it should have, but we took a quiz and found out what our love languages are (we're pretty much the same) and it was a good 3 1/2 hours.

We drove around Richmond for a while trying to find the nice part of town- there isn't one. So we ate at a nice restaurant in an area that looks like it will be nice in a few years.

AND THEN... we went to the concert. It was The Swell Season/The Frames/Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova. The show was amazing, Glen is really funny and I totally believe that we could be great friends. Marketa wasn't feeling so great so she sat out for a few songs, but that gave them the opportunity to play some Frames songs, so I was pretty happy. They didn't play Revelate, which is my favortie, but they did play my second favorite, Fitzcarraldo, so I have no complaints.

The show made me miss all of my SLC friends though, because I don't think anyone out here knew anything about The Frames or the movie Once.
