I went to Philly a week or two back for two reasons: 1- to get a cheesesteak, and 2- to see a show, namely, Local Natives. This created a few comical "who's on first" type of conversations when people would assume that I was just going to see people that were born in Philadelphia.
While there are plenty of Philadelphia natives that I like a lot, and I wouldn't turn down the opportunity to meet Mr. Bradley Cooper, these guys are actually from California I think.
They are pretty amazing live and always had at least two people playing drums, everyone in the band participated in drumming at least once.

Manda!!!!!! (this is Randi btw). I'm so glad you are fans of the Local Natives (from LA). I've been listening to them all summer! They are one of my new faves and I saw them at Kilby Court and they are AMAZING live. When I saw them they ALL switched playing different instruments throughout - and they all sing - which is pretty awesome!
I love Beach House too - you should check them out if you haven't already. I'm seeing them with Vampire Weekend on Sept. 2nd & can't wait!!
