A Saturday in the Springtime

I had high hopes for my Saturday this weekend. Partly because I had to work on Sunday for a big event on campus, and partly because I always have big plans for my Saturdays.
This is what I wanted to do: go running, eat french toast at eastern market, go on a tour of the capital, see atlas shrugged, go to my friend Liz's concert, find out what kind of tree this is (well, that wasn't really on the list, but I still want to know, so if you have any insights feel free to share)
And this is what I actually did: went running, ate french toast at eastern market, bought a fantastic fuchsia hat for the races,

went on a tour of the capital, saw atlas shrugged (it was good- you should go), went to dinner,

saw my friend Liz (and a few others) in concert*, and then went to Melanie's going away party,

It was a pretty full day.

*In Concert For Jane- very cool organization, you should check it out

FUn fun fuN. I want to know what that tree is, too. Those pictures are gorgeous. They'd make an awesome canvas print

Where did you get the hat? I need to get something similar for an upcoming Saturday.
