The Hunt for Red October

My fourth version of The Hunt for Red October came today (Thanks Alex and Eva for the birthday giftcard!) I've had to replace this movie 3 times now because I've worn it out, and other than the fact that it's just an awesome movie, I couldn't really tell you why this is one of my favorites (officially in the top 3).

It could be because I like all of the actors. It could be that it was the first grown up type of movie that I ever watched and understood. It could be that I remember when my dad rented it and said that it was supposed to be a really good movie. It could be that I have a crush on Jack Ryan (not Alec Baldwin or Harrison Ford or Ben Affleck, but Jack Ryan, and yes I do know that he is a fictional character). I just don't know.

But whatever the reason, I've seen this movie more times than I could possibly count, and every now and then I just need to watch it. And now, I'll be watching the special collector's widescreen edition.
