I must say, I am completely grateful for this snow day. My weekend was wonderful, but wonderful weekends rarely leave enough time for sleep, and this one was no exception. And I am now looking forward to a day of watching Pride and Prejudice (the long one) and maybe even cleaning my room.
I will actually admit however, that I hope this doesn't continue all week like last year. With the holiday and now a snow day, we only have a three day work week. But just like last year, this is coming at a time when I have quite a lot to do at work and will be leaving the country on Sunday.
Just in case you haven't heard yet, I was invited by a foundation that sends us students each year to be on the interview panel to choose the participants for next year. I leave Sunday afternoon and meet up with someone from OSF in Bosnia. Then we'll move around to Kosovo, Serbia and Albania throughout the rest of the week. I'm super excited because I'm sure these are not countries that I would ever have gotten to see on my own, and four new countries just might push me over to more countries visited than Jim, one of the guys in my office. And I really would like to have that to hold over his head :) .

I am beyond jealous. Here we never get snow days - only cold. Meh. Of course, you'd probably call us pathetic, here in Portugal, for considering our Winter as "freezing" . . . Still, I certainly would not mind a snow day once in awhile. ^__~
Have fun this weekend, too. Oh, by the way, if you're wondering what kind of weird, deranged, creepy "stalker" I am, I'm, well, Karla. I'm starting - with some friends - a review blog (for books & other). Since we're kind of new we wouldn't mind some followers and friends. Right now we've only reviewed YA, but we're open to suggestions.
Sorry for the spamm'y comment. ^__~
You're so lucky. We would LOVE a snow day and NEVER get them!
