Cherry Blossom Festival

This was yesterday when I went to the cherry blossom festival with some fabulous girls. We walked half the Mall, around the Tidal Basin and across the Potomac to Arlington Cemetary. It was lovely. But even though you can see the Washington Monument from where I live, it is a very large monument and not really all that close. I recommend good walking shoes and a hearty breakfast.

Please listen to what I'm saying

I'm sorry, it's just so hard to focus on your words when you scratch your head and all of your hair shifts a little off center. But please, continue with what you were saying.

A Bind

Went to my first yoga class tonight. I've dabbled in yoga before, (the occasional video with soothing music here and there) and being a yoga junkie is on my list of things to do, so I finally got myself out of the house at 8pm on a Wednesday night and went to the class at my gym.

I was pleasantly surprised with myself. This does not mean that I am amazing by any stretch of the imagination, but at least I wasn't terrible at it. I even got my head and arm wraped under one leg and grabed onto my other hand behind my back and then stood up- now there's no way you can tell me that's not impressive.

Paper

I have several piles of paper in my office, and there is something so satisfying about getting through an entire stack (even if some of it moves into other piles).

Passports

Today I received a copy of a woman's passport which made me smile. In reviewing I felt like I should be in a black and white WWII movie getting new papers for a resistance worker. She is a beautiful woman, but has such a stern, dignified air about her that I wouldn't be surprised if she's killed someone in the past.
