Project Day

A little while ago I saw the cover for the new Death Cab for Cutie album Narrow Stairs, and I really liked it and decided that I would make something similar. So today went to the art store (twice) and spent the day cutting up magazines and sorting by color and pasting and shallacking, and I came up with this.
And then, because there was some time in between cutting and pasting and the first coat of varnish and the second coat w
hich hasn't been applied yet, I decided to crochet another hat. I guess this is what happens when I don't have to spend 8 hours a day at work.

How creative are you!?!? I had no idea you were such an artist. Speaking of you being creative...I am soooooo excited to see you in less than 2 weeks on the cruise! I am needing a good cruise book. You are the first person I thought of to ask if you have any suggestions. Will give me some of your faves so I have some kind of direction and so I don't end up bringing "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See" on the cruise! See ya!

I would recommend "Sarah's Key". I'm reading it right now and it's awesome. Can't put it down. It may be a little heavy for a cruise though...
