A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC

I went up to NYC this weekend for a college fair, and because of the lovely Miss Sheila and her lovely corporate apartment, I got to stay an extra night. There were a few other people that came up as well, and while I was talking to prospective college students in Queens, they were riding bikes in Central Park, watching parades, and buying tickets to a show that night.

When I found out that we were going to see "A Little Night Music," I was a little dubious as I'd never really heard of it before. But, once we got to the theater and I saw that Bernadette Peters was starring, I figured everything would be okay.

Aside from Bernadette Peters rendition of "Send In The Clowns", my favorite part came from the Grandmother.

Madame Arnfeldt: Child, I have come to give you your advice for the day.

Fredrika Arnfeldt: Yes, Grandmother?

Madame Arnfeldt: Never marry, or even dally with, a Scandinavian.

I'll have to keep that in mind.
