You'd think that living in Washington D.C. would mean that you have people visiting all the time to take advantage of a free place to stay in the nation's capital- not so. In the three years that I've been here, I can count my visitors on my hands, so it was great to have two of my favorite college roommates visiting last week.

I still had to work, so they entertained themselves quite nicely and then in the evenings and weekend, we took advantage of a few things that even I hadn't done here yet. There was a ghost tour- I wasn't super excited about that because I'm kind of a wimp about scary things- but it was really cool to hear about some of the people that had lived in the city while it was still new. There was the tour of Ford's Theater (ashamed to say I didn't even know there was a museum in the basement), and then just some quality time with the girls.
